The STARS Rummage Sale held on Friday, April 1st and Saturday, April 2nd was a smashing success raising over $1,600 thanks to your generous support.  The proceeds from this sale will go towards the 50th Anniversary Fiesta planned for Spring of 2023.  A special thanks goes to Board Directors Katherine Clements, Jennifer Alewelt, Suzette Gibson, Marni Hirshman, Mary King, Jason Malcolm and Jeremy Minson for their dedication to the success of the sale.  

Below are a few WINS from the day: 

• STARS participants shopped the rummage and were able to find something exciting to take home with them. Movies, CDs and hats were very popular items! 
• STARS participants and staff prepared treats and welcomed hundreds of community members into The Commons at the Cholla Campus.
• Many shoppers were shopping for other charities and people in need including housewares for domestic violence shelters and outdoor supplies for the homeless.
• Items remaining at the end of the day were donated to Big Brothers, Big Sisters Of Central AZ.

We are thrilled to have received a grant from The Arizona Republic's 2021-2022 Season of Sharing campaign.  This is a special grant as it exemplifies the compassion of the Valley of the Sun residents, as a majority the donations come directly from the readership. 

The 2021-2022 Season For Sharing campaign generated $1.8M in donations which was distributed as grants to 164 Arizona nonprofits.
